  36. The LDS 309A was designed as as leased line modem. It doesnt directly 
  37. support voice in data. The 309 does run at upto 19.2 kbps async or sync 
  38. or standard 26 AWG pairs upto 6.4 km or 4 miles. Of course, distance will 
  39. increase with lower bit rates. It supoports 2w (half duplex) and 4w (full 
  40. duplex) operation  over standard VF private lines hence the two jacks. If 
  41. you need specifics (compatibilities etc) email me.
